The eastern German energy company EnviaM wants to reduce prices for electricity and gas. "The bottom line is that prices for EnviaM customers will fall noticeably in the coming year," said Stephan Lowis, head of the largest eastern German energy supplier, to the "Leipziger Volkszeitung" newspaper, referring to the price of electricity. The background to this is that the grid fees in his company's supply area will be around ten percent cheaper.
A reduction in end customer prices is also planned for gas, Lowis continued. Security of supply in Germany is guaranteed and, as a basic supplier, EnviaM is minimizing its risks with a forward-looking procurement strategy. The company supplies around 1.2 million customers in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg with electricity, gas and heat.
