The share of organic farms in agriculture is now just under 15 percent. The organically farmed area also rose to just under ten percent, more than doubling since 2015, it said. "The demand for organic and bioregional products in Saxony has increased significantly in recent years. This is a positive sign. We have invested a lot of work in recent years so that the organic sector in the Free State grows," summed up Agriculture Minister Wolfram Günther (Alliance 90/The Greens).

Till October 8, more than 50 farms of organic agriculture, processors of organic food and solidarity farms open their farms and gates and give insight into the practice.
