A robot set is designed to give primary school pupils in Saxony a playful approach to robotics. Elementary school and after-school care centers can now borrow the self-programming sets free of charge, the Forum for Culture and Education announced in Leipzig on Monday. A playful, creative and also critical approach to technology is already important in elementary school, said Oliver Gibtner-Weidlich, Managing Director of the project sponsor Forum for Culture and Education. "In the RobotKids project, the children also ask themselves, among other things, when the use of robots makes sense and when it doesn't".

A highlight is therefore the "Our own robot" module. This allows children to build and program a robot themselves.
