Dresden SC has to do without Juliette Fidon-Lebleu for longer

The volleyball players of Dresdner SC will have to do without French outside attacker Juliette Fidon-Lebleu for a while longer. The six-time German champions announced on Saturday that the 27-year-old will undergo knee surgery next Monday. "The injury is extremely bitter for Juliette and the whole team. We will now come even closer together and deal with the situation in the best possible way," said DSC coach Alexander Waibl.

Fidon-Lebleu moved from league rivals VfB Suhl to the Elbe in the summer and suffered a meniscus tear in her left knee during preparations at the end of August. As the previous conservative treatment had not brought the expected success, surgery was now unavoidable, according to the press release. The attacker has not yet played a single competitive match for Dresden. Managing director Sandra Zimmermann therefore wants to sound out the transfer market.
