Two penalties: Hallescher FC draws 2-2 in Lübeck

Halleesche FC has been rewarded for a strong fighting spirit in the 3rd Football League. On Saturday, coach Sreto Ristic's team managed a 2:2 (0:2) at promoted VfB Lübeck in a turbulent final phase. In front of 6012 spectators, the experienced Mirko Boland (20th) and Pascal Breier (30th) scored for the hosts before the break. Tunay Deniz scored in the 82nd minute to tie the game after he had previously failed with a penalty kick against the outstanding VfB goalkeeper Philipp Klewin. Dominic Baumann converted the second penalty kick in the 90th minute for a deserved draw. The HFC remains however further away without victory and on a relegation place.

Before the change the Lübecker were the more active, above all however the more effective team. From four very good opportunities, VfB made two goals. Also the HFC had enough possibilities, failed however again and again at birthday child Klewin or, like Timur Gayret (45.+3), at the bar.

The Hallenser came with more will from the Kabine, determined to a large extent the play, but more than a renewed Lattentreffer of Gayret (52.) did not jump out for the time being. The Lübeckers relied on counterattacks, remained dangerous and tested the well-performing goalkeeper Sven Müller several times. With the connecting goal the hosts withdrew ever further and afforded themselves still another second penalty-ripe foul.
