The Leipzig City History Museum will dedicate one of its major special exhibitions this year to the period of upheaval in the 1990s. The show "Between Awakening and Liquidation" will focus on the new possibilities of freedom as well as the great disappointments and the unexpected decline of the city at that time. The exhibition will be shown from September 25, the museum announced on Monday. Prior to this, another special exhibition entitled "R.I.P. - The Last Address" (March 20 to September 1) is dedicated to death and funeral culture.
Last year, the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum reported more than 500,000 visitors to its buildings and events. In addition to the city museum itself, the Old Town Hall, the Schiller House, the Children's Museum and the Capa House also belong to the association.
