Fatal accident - closures on the A4 towards Görlitz

After a fatal accident, the highway 4 in the direction of Görlitz near Bautzen is closed. There are also traffic restrictions at the Königshainer Berge tunnel.

According to the police, a coach and a pedestrian were involved in the accident on Tuesday night. The man was killed. His identity is still unknown, according to the police. It is currently unclear how the accident occurred.

The A4 is closed between Bautzen West and East in the direction of Görlitz.

Just a few hours later, another section of the A4 in the direction of Görlitz was closed. According to the police, an articulated lorry broke down in the Königshainer Berge tunnel due to transmission problems. The tunnel and the Nieder Seifersdorf junction are currently closed.
