After dozens of tits flew into a glass connection at Leipzig's Technical City Hall and died, the situation has now been defused. The owner of the building has had an interim solution installed, a city spokesperson announced on Friday. The glass front has been covered with colorful strips of paper. A permanent solution is to follow in March. The "Leipziger Volkszeitung" had previously reported.

Last weekend, 34 great tits and four blue tits flew into the glass pane and died. The city is a tenant of the building and had asked the owner to rectify the situation.
