The construction company Christoph Gröner has averted an insolvency application at its central Gröner Group GmbH. As the Leipzig Local Court announced in the official notices, the provisional insolvency administration was lifted by decision on Tuesday. According to media reports, the background to the application by a creditor was unpaid health insurance contributions.
Gröner had announced that he wanted to settle all arrears and put an end to the matter. "Anyone who works in the real estate industry knows that payment delays are part of daily business, but they are by no means a sign of insolvency," he explained.
In the previous week, provisional insolvency proceedings had also been opened over the assets of three trade companies from Gröner's group of companies. These concerned CG Gebäudetechnik GmbH, CG Ausbau GmbH and CG Rohbau GmbH. Leipzig Local Court has not yet published any new information on these proceedings.
