Four supporters of the climate protection group Last Generation pasted on the doors to the plenary hall of the state parliament building in Dresden on Saturday. They attached nine posters on which Article 20a of the Basic Law was printed to the windows with glue, a police spokesman said. The activists are being investigated on suspicion of damaging property, he said, and a representative of the state parliament has issued expulsions. "The state also protects the natural foundations of life in responsibility for future generations," the Last Generation quoted the text of the Constitution in a statement. The action was intended to remind members of the state parliament "that they have a responsibility to protect the foundations of life."
